About Us

The Deep Blue Organization was founded by siblings Iram and Taha Parvez and is registered in the United States as a not-for-profit charitable organization. Like many of us, Iram and Taha grew to appreciate the ocean at an early age. One of their greatest inspirations was their father, who would take them sailing and teach them about the different types of animals that live in the ocean, especially whales and dolphins. The Deep Blue Organization is centered around the lessons handed down from one generation to the next to promote a love and appreciation of the ocean environment, whales and dolphins, and how we can conserve them for the future.

During a 2016 trip, Iram and Taha learned about a dolphinarium that was at risk of closing and began wondering if there was any place in the world where these dolphins could retire. As we were traveling abroad, we were getting so excited of the many ideas and options of how we could contribute to the betterment of whales and dolphins. As we researched, we found out that over the following years, a number of regulations and legislation began appearing around the world restricting the use of whales and dolphins in zoos, aquariums, and theme parks. And at this finding we decided that there was a sense of urgency, and the time was right for development of Coastal Habitats and The Deep Blue Organization was founded to design and operate them.

Our organization goes beyond ocean conservation by developing sustainable Coastal Habitats for whales and dolphins and to share how whales and dolphins help curb climate change. We bring a team of professionals and trained mammal experts with international expertise whose goal is to make a difference. We continue to expand our network of like-minded individuals and work with communities who care for the issues that are faced by ocean life and those contributing to climate change.

We aim to raise awareness of the positive impact these cetaceans have on our environment. It is the responsibility of every individual to act in the betterment of cetaceans that play such a crucial role in sustaining our ecosystem. We believe collectively that we can all work together to bring upon this change to make this world healthier for us humans and cetaceans.

Our core values of love, care, kindness, honesty, and transparency are exemplified by our mission to do our best. Our ongoing endeavor to bring awareness and educate others on the problems faced by these beautiful species are emphasized in our efforts to raise funds to build our Coastal Habitats. We believe, together, we can bring a bright and sustainable future for all.
