Founder and CEO

Iram Parvez

Iram Parvez is a fifteen-year veteran in private banking and Vice President of the Entertainment and Media Group in Los Angeles. She began her career in 2001 with JP Morgan Chase in Chicago, until 2014. She later relocated to Boston Private in Beverly Hills, where she successfully rolled out their Entertainment, Media and Sports Division. Here, she spearheaded the strategic planning and development of a division from the ground up by creating an advisory board and handpicked prominent individuals in the industry to join her team. She has been involved in creating products and finance structures for all thresholds of filmmakers within the Hollywood and Indian Film Industry. She was acknowledged at TIFF 2015 and the Nantucket Film Festival for this achievement. During the twelve years she has lived in Los Angeles, she has been able to expand her work and follow her passion to sail across the ocean, experiencing wildlife in natural habitats.

Iram’s favorite whale or dolphin is the orca.  “I love how it is a matriarchal society. The mothers love, nurture, protect, and care for their calves and family to prepare them for life. They pass down their teachings, lessons, language, and skills from generation to generation for the whole pod to be strong and be in unity. They signify a united bond, trust, and strength together collaboratively.”

Co-Founder

Taha Parvez

Taha Parvez is currently a nursing student and has been an EMT since 2016. His passion for the marine environment is as strong as his passion for helping people. Like many, he saw films and a number of documentaries about whales and dolphins at an early age and has been in love with them ever since. This interest led him to research the different orca pods around the globe, as well as other cetaceans, and how vital they are to the environment.

Taha’s favorite whale or dolphin is the orca. “I like orcas because they’ve proven themselves to be very resourceful, they can be found in every ocean. Each pod has its own unique distinction from fin size and shapes to even how their eyepatch varies amongst the different regions. Most orcas participate in activities as a pod, a family. Different pods have diverse ways to hunt and even vocalize.”

“As an Emergency Medical Technician and soon to be a nurse, one of the key tools I use in treating my patients is building trust. We will build the same kind of trust with the whales and dolphins in our care, showing the same amount of respect and compassion that I show my human patients.”
